K-PAX Racing swept Race 2 of the Pirelli World Challenge weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Sunday afternoon, with Alvaro Parente leading from start to finish.

Parente finished ahead of teammate Rodrigo Baptista in second overall, who also secured GTA class honors.

The 2016 GT champion had a flawless drive in his No. 9 Bentley Continental GT3 to score his first win of the season while the action unfolded further down the field.

Toni Vilander finished second in class and third overall in the R. Ferri Motorsport-run Ferrari 488 GT3, while Michael Christensen came home third for Alegra Motorsports.

The Ferrari was classified 5.3 seconds behind Parente at the line.

Daniel Mancinelli made up positions early in the race after starting seventh overall but was later passed by Daniel Morad and Scott Hargrove in one move, dropping him down to sixth in Pro behind the pair of Canadian drivers.

Baptista Secures GTA Win from Second Overall

Baptista dominated GTA for the entire 50-minute race, running second overall behind Parente from lights to flag.

He picked up his first solo Sprint win of the season, adding to three SprintX Pro-Am class victories alongside Maxime Soulet.

A battle for second in class between Race 1 class winner Parker Chase and Martin Fuentes went the way of the Mexican driver, who came home eighth overall.

Chase completed the class podium while Yuki Harata finished fourth in class.
