Magnus Racing has scored its first Pirelli World Challenge victory, with Spencer Pumpelly and Dane Cameron taking top overall honors in Saturday’s SprintX round at Lime Rock Park.

A quick in-lap by Cameron and pit stop for the No. 4 Audi R8 LMS put Pumpelly out ahead of the No. 8 Cadillac ATS-V.R, which led the early stages with Jordan Taylor.

Pumpelly stretched out to a 7.285-second lead by the end of the 60-minute race, when the Cadillac, in the hands of Michael Cooper, was unable to match the pace of the Audi.

It was the fifth different GT3 manufacturer to win in as many SprintX races so far this season, while it marked a double win on Saturday for reigning IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Prototype champion Cameron, who also claimed top honors in the TC race.

The No. 9 K-PAX Racing McLaren 650S GT3 of Alvaro Parente and Ben Barnicoat completed the podium in third.

Friday’s SprintX race-winning, and overall championship-leading No. 58 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R was knocked out of the race on the first lap after contact by the No. 31 TR3 Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 of Niccolo Schiro.

Schiro, who was attempting to go four-wide on the front-straight, was handed a stop-and-go penalty for the run-in with Marc Lieb, who collected the No. 2 CRP Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the incident.

The accident brought out the race’s only full-course caution.

Vince Abril held off a hard-charging pair of RealTime Racing Acura NSX GT3s to score a season-best finish of fourth in the No. 88 Bentley Team Absolute Bentley Continental GT3 with co-driver Addely Fong.

The No. 43 Acura of Tom Dyer ran third in his opening stint but lost nearly eight seconds in the pit stop, ultimately relegating Dyer and Ryan Eversley to fifth at the finish.

GT Pro-Am class honors went to the No. 16 Wright Motorsports Porsche of Jan Heylen and Michael Schein, in a sweep of the weekend.

The No. 54 Black Swan Racing Mercedes of Jeroen Bleekemolen led early in the class but faded to third, behind the No. 75 Always Evolving Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 of Frankie Montecalvo and Ricardo Sanchez, which finished second.

Henrique Cisneros and Tyler McQuarrie, meanwhile, claimed the win in GT Am-Am, with the No. 55 Dream Racing Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo again taking the GT Cup class win.

The No. 017 Case-It Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR of Trent Hindman and Adam Merzon won the GTS class, which saw only two of the seven entered cars take part.
