Lime Rock Park will once again offer racing on Memorial Day Monday while hosting the Pirelli World Challenge for the first time since 2011.

Fans will now enjoy four days of events, including practices and qualifying on Fri., May 25, racing on Sat., May 26, a car show on Sun., May 27, and continued racing on Mon., May 28.

The PWC events will include all of the racing series’ classes including GT/GTA/GT Cup SprintX, GTS/GTSA SprintX, and three Touring Car categories – TCR, TC and TCA.

“The return of Monday races during the Pirelli World Challenge brings back the long-held tradition during Lime Rock Park’s season opener,” said Skip Barber, Owner and President of Lime Rock Park.

“This allows racing fans to enjoy a broad variety of events, including two days of racing and a car show on Sunday.”

PWC on Memorial Day Weekend is one of three major racing events held at Lime Rock Park and is comprised of one-hour, door-to-door sprint races in various GT and Touring categories.

The Royals’ Garage Sunday Car Show will be held on May 27, and delivers an up-close view of all types of cars.

During the weekend, spectators can view races from a grassy, park-like setting, gain an up-close view of the most exotic racing sedans in the world, and meet drivers and their crews.

Additional activities include a tour of the Midway filled with vendors, displays, good eats, and more.

“Whether camping here within the track’s infield for the full experience or just bringing the family for a day of fun, there’s no better place to celebrate Memorial Day than Lime Rock Park,” Barber said.

To honor our servicemen and women on Memorial Day weekend, the free general admission for veterans and active military that applies for all spectator events is also extended to their immediate families.

All youths 16 and under are free and there is no charge for general parking and paddock access.
