A host of Pirelli World Challenge teams have been on track this week in preparation for next weekend’s season-opener at St. Petersburg.
Alegra Motorsports, TruSpeed AutoSport and Pfaff Motorsports were all at MSR Houston on Monday and Tuesday to complete final pre-season tests in its GT3 machinery, while K-PAX Racing has both of its Bentley Continental GT3s in action at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Additionally, Flying Lizard Motorsports is at Virginia International Raceway with its pair of new Audi R8 LMS GT4 cars.
Spencer Pumpelly handled testing duties of Alegra’s Porsche 911 GT3 R, with both Ryan Dalziel and Parker Chase turning laps in TruSpeed’s ex-Stevenson Motorsports Audi R8 LMS car.
Canadian outfit Pfaff, which like Alegra is set for its PWC debut, was also present with its Porsche, which will be driven by reigning IMSA Ultra94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada champion Scott Hargrove.
Both K-PAX full-season drivers Alvaro Parente and Rodrigo Baptista, meanwhile, are completing the second of a two-day test at Homestead on Wednesday.
All four teams will head to St. Pete next week for the PWC season opener, which will feature single-driver Sprint races for both the GT and GTS classes.
The SprintX season kicks off on March 23-25 at Circuit of The Americas.
