SRO America has adjusted its 2023 schedule, having moved dates at Circuit of The Americas and Road America to prevent clashing events with other sports car racing championships in North America.

Announced on Monday, the COTA round will now take place on May 19-21, while the Road America event is set for Aug. 18-20.

The shift in the Road America date alleviates a clash with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s round at Virginia International Raceway, with both events initially having been scheduled for the Aug. 26-27 weekend.

“After input from key partners and teams, we have adjusted our schedule slightly to better meet the scheduling needs of our racers. I can’t thank the teams at Road America and COTA enough for working with us to make these adjustments,” said SRO America President and CEO Greg Gill.

The flagship Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS will be joined by Pirelli GT4 America, GT America powered by AWS and several other SRO-sanctioned series on the revised weekends.

2023 Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS Schedule (Updated):
Feb. 24-26 — NOLA Motorsports Park
March 30-April 2 — Sonoma Raceway
May 19-21 — Circuit of The Americas
June 16-18 — Virginia International Raceway
Aug. 18-20 — Road America
Sept. 22-24 — Sebring International Raceway
Oct. 6-8 — Indianapolis 8 Hour
