The No. 16 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R has been stripped of its GT Pro-Am class victory in Sunday’s Pirelli World Challenge SprintX race at Utah Motorsports Campus, after having been handed a post-race time penalty for a pit lane infraction.

The Michael Schein and Jan Helyen-driven Porsche was found to have not met the 90-second minimum pit lane delta for Pro-Am and Am entries during its pit stop, and thus has been handed a 32-second time penalty equivalent to a drive-through penalty.

As a result, the No. 14 GMG Racing Porsche of James Sofronas and Mathieu Jaminet inherit the class win, with Schein and Heylen dropping to sixth in class. The pairing had won Saturday’s opening SprintX race of the weekend.

It’s understood the class championship-leading Wright car missed the minimum time by more than six seconds.

The No. 90 Autometrics Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, which competed for GT Cup class honors, was also handed a post-race time penalty for the same issue.

RESULTS: Race 2 (Revised)
