SRO America has revealed plans to reschedule recently canceled Pirelli GT4 America and TC America rounds into existing future race weekends later this year.

It comes following the cancelation of the St. Petersburg Grand Prix and Long Beach weekends, which saw GT4 Sprint and TC America plus GT4 SprintX series scheduled, respectively.

Details on which events will take on additional races have not yet been disclosed.

The next SRO America event is scheduled for Lime Rock Park on May 8-9, followed by one week later by Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, where GT World Challenge America powered by AWS is slated to return to action.

An update will be provided “in the near future” on the status of both events, as the series continues to communicate with circuit promoters and local authorities.

“Our 100 percent focus right now is to join with the world-wide community in the efforts to help reduce the impact of this virus and ensure the health and safety of everyone,” said SRO America President and CEO Greg Gill.

“Motorsports will return and we look forward to being at the racetrack very soon with our teams, drivers, series staff and fans in the near future.”

Unlike IMSA, which has banned all forms of testing, SRO America teams will be permitted to continue private testing, as long as it’s in compliance with local mandates and recommendations.

Questions related to testing should be directed to the SRO America series directors and the competition department.
