Drew Staveley claimed his first career Pirelli World Challenge overall victory following late-race issues for the dominant KTM X-Bow GT4 of Nicolai Elghanayan.

Staveley drove his No. 12 Ian Lacy Racing Ginetta G55 GT4 to a 1.298-second win over the No. 50 Panoz Avezzano GT4 of Matt Keagan, after pole-sitter and Race 1 winner Elghanayan hit issues with less than three minutes to go.

The PWC rookie held control from the green and opened up to a 15-second lead until his No. 71 KTM X-Bow GT4 suddenly slowed, potentially low on fuel.

It handed the surprise victory, not only in the GTS Am class but overall honors, to Staveley.

Elghanayan, meanwhile, came home 9th overall.

A multi-car accident on the opening lap saw the race virtually turn into a 33-minute run once it resumed, with it running green until the end, despite at least two other accidents.

Keegan, James Take Pro-Am Win

Team Panoz Racing claimed its first class win of the season, albeit it finishing 2nd overall, with Keegan and Ian James.

The No. 47 NOLAsport Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR of Matt Travis and Jason Hart finished second in class and third overall, ahead of the second-place GTS Am class-finishing No. 21 Muehlner Motorsports Porsche.

Overall championship leader James Sofronas salvaged a 7th place finish overall alongside SprintX co-driver Alex Welch in the No. 14 GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4.

Sofronas’ teammate, Colin Braun, challenged early alongside the No. 23 Case-It by Flying Lizard Audi of Ryan Eversley, which were inside the top-three overall until both cars faded following driver changes.

The No. 55 PF Racing Ford Mustang GT4, which won Pro-Am in Race 1, also dropped back, but due to a slow pit stop.
