TR3 Racing has lost its top-ten class finish in Saturday’s Pirelli World Challenge SprintX round at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, for not obeying a black flag.

The No. 31 Ferrari 488 GT3 of Niccolo Schiro received a drive-through penalty for contact with Ben Barnicoat’s No. 9 K-PAX Racing McLaren 650S GT3, which resulted in the race’s one-and-only, and ultimately race-deciding full-course caution that benefitted the No. 8 Cadillac ATS-V.R that went on to claim victory.

PWC officials have deleted three laps from TR3’s results, due to not pitting in a timely manor to serve the penalty.

It’s dropped the VIR race-winning Ferrari to a 22nd overall finish, after initially crossing the line 12th overall and 9th in the GT Pro-Pro class.

No other changes have been made to the results, despite questions over the caution procedure, which saw the No. 8 Cadillac effectively gain a full lap over the competition, courtesy of no wave-by.

RESULTS: Race 1 (Final)
