Alegra Leads Porsche 1-2 in Utah Practice 1

Michael Christensen led a dominant Porsche 1-2 in the first Pirelli World Challenge GT practice at Utah Motorsports Campus.

The Dane was the only driver to turn in a sub-1:50 lap time, turning in a best lap 1:49.870 in the No. 24 Alegra Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The No. 96 Pfaff Motorsports Porsche of Scott Hargrove and Wolf Henzler was second, 0.239 seconds off of Christensen’s benchmark time, while the No. 9 K-PAX Racing Bentley Continental GT3 of Andy Soucek and Alvaro Parente was third, but a full 1.181 seconds down on the Alegra Porsche.

Jeff Segal was fourth overall and fastest in the Pro-Am category in the No. 31 TR3 Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 while the No. 80 Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 was fifth.

The No. 07 Squadra Corse Garage Italia Ferrari of Caeser Bacarella and Martin Fuentes led the way in the Am category and were 11th overall in the session, which ran without major incident.

Practice 2 is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. local time this evening.
