Andrew Davis has escaped injury following a massive fire for the No. 77 Calvert Dynamics Porsche 911 GT3 R, which led to a curtailed Practice 2 for the Pirelli World Challenge SprintX series at Utah Motorsports Campus.

Davis bailed from the GT3 car after an oil fire engulfed the car, moments after going off-track in Turn 11, likely on oil.

The 30-minute session was immediately red-flagged and did not restart, with only the No. 46 Mills Racing BMW Z4 GT3 of Kuno Wittmer recording a time prior to the incident.

The No. 77 Porsche for Davis and team owner Preston Calvert had been entered for both SprintX and Sprint races. It’s unclear if it can be repaired on-site for this weekend’s races.

SprintX qualifying gets underway at 3:05 p.m. local time.
