Bell Confirmed in M1 GT Audi GT4

M1 GT Racing will enter an Audi R8 LMS GT4 in Pirelli World Challenge for Jason Bell, as the first announced U.S. customer entry with the German manufacturer’s new-for-2018 car.

Bell contested the GTS class this year in a SIN R1 GT4 with Racers Edge Motorsports, and will make the switch to the veteran squad, which expands into the category next year.

“The Pirelli World Challenge program is where I want to be and M1 GT Racing is one of the most professional and experienced teams in the paddock,” Bell said.

“I am looking forward to testing and the start of the season in St. Petersburg.”

The team’s new Audi is expected to arrive early next month, with a shakedown and testing planned prior to the season-opening round in March.

“We are delighted to have Jason back in our program,” said team manager and technical director Remi Lanteigne.

“He brings experience to the table and is surrounded by a wealth of knowledge. He knows the PWC program well and will be a threat each and every race weekend.”

M1 GT is the first announced North American Audi GT4 customer, with GMG Racing to have also recently taken delivery of multiple Audis ahead of the PWC and IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge seasons.
