The Panoz Avezzano GT has broken cover ahead of its expected race debut in next weekend’s Pirelli World Challenge season-opener in St. Pete.

The GT4-based car, which will initially run under PWC GTS homologation, completed a rollout at Road Atlanta on Wednesday with development and race driver Ian James at the wheel.

While details on the test have yet to be released, it’s understood only a single Avezzano GT will run at St. Pete, with plans to expand to a two-car operation later in the year.

The new effort, led by Tom Milner, joins an already well-subscribed GTS field, including entries representing McLaren GT, Porsche, Ford, Ginetta, KTM, SIN and the new Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R, which is also set for its competition debut next weekend.
