Radical Sportscars will partner Pirelli World Challenge, with all six rounds of Radical’s North American championship supporting PWC events next year.

The announcement was made during the Pirelli World Challenge Competitor meeting at the PRI trade show in Indianapolis last week.

Originally announced events were Radical supporting races at PWC headliner weekends at Circuit of The Americas (March 23-25), Virginia International Raceway (April 27-29) and Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (May 18-20).

Last week, two additional weekends were secured with Utah Motorsports Campus (Aug. 10-12) and Watkins Glen International (Aug. 31-Sept. 2) joining the first three dates.

One more weekend will be announced in the near future for the Radical North American championship with the PWC weekends.

The partnership with PWC means the Radical series will now be sanctioned by USAC, giving North American Radical drivers access to FIA licensing and the opportunity to compete internationally, via Radical’s one-make championships in Australia, Europe, the Middle East and UK.

The popularity of Radical’s North American series has warranted an expansion from five to six rounds in 2018. This season’s championship attracted 45 competitors from across the U.S. as well as drivers from Canada, Brazil, England and Norway.

Jesse Menczer (One Motorsport) won the Masters (SR8) class championship. Richard Thomas (Wisko Racing) won his second consecutive 1500 title after a year-long battle with Ethan Stone (One Motorsport).

Antoine Comeau won the 1340 class championship, even though a broken wrist kept him from participating in the final round.
