TruSpeed Autosport will make its return to Pirelli World Challenge this year, having announced a two-car Audi R8 LMS effort for the GT category.

The California-based team, run by Tyler Tadevic, most recently fielded Porsche 911 GT3 Cup machinery for Sloan Urry in 2016.

Drivers have yet to be announced for the new program.

“We have been hard at work for the past three months securing equipment and the proper personnel to put together a winning program from the very first event onwards,” Tadevic said.

“While our driver lineup and official team name is set to be announced in the very near future, I can officially say that we will house a pair of former Stevenson Racing Audi R8 GT3 machines and compete in the PWC Sprint and SprintX programs in 2018.

“It is an honor to continue on with the equipment that was meticulously maintained by Stevenson and we look forward to taking it back to the top.

“We have huge goals for 2018 and cannot wait to announce more details about our program.”

Rob Morgan, who served as PWC GT Series Director last year, rejoins TruSpeed in a management role for 2018.

“I am confident that we are putting together one of the better programs in the PWC paddock,” Morgan said. “We have high quality equipment, very fast drivers and a solid engineering staff in place to win.

“We will go through an extensive test program over the next few months to ensure that we are ready for the season opening event in St. Petersburg in March.”

This is awesome that a good team got the Stevenson Audi resources. Maybe they can get Matt Bell to drive? Thanks for covering this.

Great guys all around. I’m stoked to see they’ve been able to put together a string program for 2018.
