Next weekend’s Chevrolet Sports Car Classic presented by the Detroit Metro Chevy Dealers will feature a 25-car grid across the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship’s Prototype, Prototype Challenge and GT Daytona classes.

The Prototype class will feature eight cars, with the absence of the DeltaWing and with Starworks Motorsport, although listed, not running its Daytona Prototype.

The pair of Mazda SKYACTIV-D entries are also listed as Mazda Motorsports, rather than SpeedSource, primarily for branding purposes.

ENTRY LIST: Chevrolet Sports Car Classic

Minor changes are expected in PC for the class’ Detroit debut.

Stephen Simpson is listed to drive alongside Mikhail Goikhberg in the JDC/Miller Motorsports entry, Performance Tech Motorsports has a TBA spot listed alongside James French and BAR1 Motorsports has both driver spots TBA.

The 10-car GT Daytona field drops the second Riley Motorsports Dodge Viper GT3-R and Flying Lizard Motorsports Audi R8 LMS from Monterey.

Wright Motorsports’ Porsche 911 GT America is set to return, after the team withdrew from Monterey citing Balance of Performance concerns.

GT Le Mans is off this race and resumes at Watkins Glen June 28.

This will be the fifth round of the year for Prototype and fourth for both PC and GTD. It will air live on FOX Sports 2 at noon ET on Saturday, May 30.
