Less than three weeks after putting its LMP2 car up for sale, Thiriet by TDS Racing’s Ligier JS P2 Nissan has found a new home.
Algarve Pro Racing Team announced Tuesday that it has purchased the Onroak Automotive-built prototype, which contested the second half of this year’s European Le Mans Series season.
The Portuguese team, which made select ELMS starts with a LMPC car in 2013 with Nick Catsburg, has a two-day test at Portimao scheduled for Dec. 17-18.
No race plans have been announced, as it’s understood an intensive testing testing program with its gentleman driver, Michael Munemann, is currently the focus.
Munemann made his LMP2 race debut at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans in a Greaves Motorsport Zytek Z11SN Nissan.
TDS’ 2015 program, which is set to feature a return to LMP2 but with new machinery, will be announced in the coming weeks.
