Gulf Racing will run a new-generation Porsche 911 RSR in the remaining rounds of the European Le Mans Series.

The British team recently received its new car from Porsche and will be testing in the coming weeks ahead of its race debut in the next round at Paul Ricard.

“The support we have had from Porsche to get to this point has been outstanding and we are very much looking forward to seeing the car on track,” Gulf Racing team manager Matt Beers said.

“The drivers are itching to get behind the wheel and having looked at the car in detail I’m not surprised.”

The new 911 replaces the older 997 RSR that the team used in the opening three rounds. It will race alongside the team’s No. 85 Aston Martin Vantage.

“We are all extremely keen to see the car racing and with that hopefully bringing the results the whole team deserves,” said driver and team co-owner Mike Wainwright.

Wainwright will be joined behind the wheel by Adam Carroll and Ben Barker.
