24 Hours of Le Mans LMGT3 class winner Morris Schuring will make his GT3 debut at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, joining Manthey EMA for the final round of the NLS season.
The 19-year-old will share the Grello-liveried No. 911 Porsche 911 GT3 R with Ayhancan Guven for the four-hour ADAC Barbarossapreis, which serves as the traditional season finale to the NLS campaign.
Schuring competed with Manthey EMA in the FIA World Endurance Championship’s LMGT3 class this season, most notably picking up a class win at Le Mans en route to second in the drivers’ standings.
“When I was asked to race ‘Grello’, I didn’t have to think about it for a second,” Schuring said.
“That really is something special. I am really excited and also very honoured to be given this opportunity.
“To be allowed to race the ‘Grello’ Porsche at the age of 19 and also as the first Dutch driver is something really special!”
Schuring has previously raced both GT4 and Porsche Cup machinery at the Nordschleife, notably joining Black Falcon in the Cup2 class at this year’s Nürburgring 24.
“I know the circuit and I am familiar with the car as well. After all, I have raced it all season in the FIA WEC and the GT World Challenge,” said Schuring.
“The Nordschleife is an extra dimension, but I am massively looking forward to it.”
