Maxi Buhk will compete with HTP Motorsport in the Blancpain GT Series this year, it was confirmed today.
As previously reported by Sportscar365, the 23-year-old German turned down a factory drive with Bentley and will instead start his fifth season with HTP Motorsport, also making to switch back to Mercedes after only a single season.
The reigning Blancpain Sprint champion and 2013 Endurance Series winner will pilot a new Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the ten-round Blancpain GT Series, with yet-to-be announced teammates.
Buhk was also confirmed as an official AMG driver for Mercedes-AMG, and in that capacity he’ll also compete in the Nürburgring 24 for HTP Motorsport.
“Last year I had an amazing season with Bentley and once again I’d like to thank everyone involved for the great success,” said Buhk.
“Now I’m looking forward to working with Mercedes-AMG. It’s a big bonus that I can still race for HTP Motorsport.
“I do feel very comfortable in this team, which is shown by the great success we achieved together.”
