The FIA has finalized the Balance of Performance specifications for new and updated GT3 cars that are set to compete in championships worldwide this year.
Released to manufacturers last month, the list confirms the BoP for the new Cadillac ATS-V.R, 2015-spec Audi R8 LMS and McLaren 650s, along with the updated Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 and Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 models.
Additionally, the Dodge Viper GT3-R has been officially homologated after running under a draft set of rules last year. Thus, it will now be eligible for competition in championships such as the Blancpain GT Series.
Incidentally, the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 nor the new Lexus RC F GT3 are not listed. The FIA has also published the BoP for 2013 and 2014-spec models here.
All cars that had requested 2015 homologation were on hand at Michelin’s test track in France last September for a mandatory BoP test.
While the FIA BoP serves as the globally recognized baseline, each GT3 championship holds the right to make modifications.
