DeltaWing Engineer Crawford Undergoes Surgery for Brain Tumor

Renowned motorsports engineer Catherine Crawford is recovering in Italy after undergoing emergency surgery for a brain tumor.

The Panoz DeltaWing Racing engineer, who also serves as the Engineering Manager of Crawford Composites, was on trip to Rome with her husband, Russ, when she developed a severe headache and other serious symptoms.

According to a statement from Crawford’s family, the surgeons have praised Russ for his swift action in getting Catherine to a hospital.

“Our family is here in Rome at present supporting Russ and Catherine,” the statement read. “We acknowledge that the road to recovery will be a long one but the surgeons are encouraged by the progress Catherine has displayed already.

“We want to thank all who have expressed their support and love and at this time we respectfully request privacy.”
