Park Place Motorsports will be back for at least the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona with a five-driver lineup of Patrick Lindsey, Kévin Estre, Dr. Jim Norman, Spencer Pumpelly, and David Ducote.
Right now, this lineup is just for the Rolex 24 with the remainder of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season for the team to be determined. Nonetheless, it should be a strong lineup in the No. 73 Porsche 911 GT America.
“Even though this off-season has been monumentally challenging, when a team is able to assemble individuals as talented and driven as our engineers, mechanics and drivers are, I can’t help but beam with excitement,” team principal and co-driver Lindsey said.
“Anymore it seems every car has a great driver lineup that is capable of winning and I commend our fellow GTD competitors for that. That said, I think we have outdone ourselves with this group of drivers.”
McLaren factory ace Estre raced with Lindsey for the majority of 2014, although the Frenchman had a couple conflicts.
Pumpelly was part of the Flying Lizard Motorsports lineup that was a hard-luck second in 2014. He raced with Park Place in 2013.
“This year I’m returning to familiar ground for the Rolex 24. I’m happy to be back with Park Place,” Pumpelly said. “I was fortunate to drive with the team in the 2013 Rolex 24 where we had a very strong run until contact ended our chances.
“Patrick Lindsey and John Horton have only made the team stronger since then and I can’t wait to get back in their car. It’s also a return to a Porsche. In my 15 previous starts, 13 were in Porsches including both of my class wins. With Kévin, Jim and David joining us, we will have a very competitive effort.”
Park Place looks to improve upon a 13th place finish achieved in 2014.
