Hartog Tops Friday Practice in Montreal

Flying Dutchman quickest in Porsche Carrera Cup North America’s return to Canada…

Loek Hartog led the way in Friday’s Porsche Carrera Cup North America running at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, topping the day’s second and final practice session.

The Dutchman reeled off a best lap time of 1:38.223 in his No. 24 Kellymoss Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car to edge out Michael McCann’s McCann Racing entry by just 0.011 seconds.

Zachary Vanier, racing on home soil, was third quickest in the No. 9 JDX Racing Porsche, followed by teammate Alex Sedgwick, who was quickest in the first 30-minute session this morning.

Dan Clarke completed the top-five overall and in the Pro class.

The top 11 times in the afternoon session were all quicker than Sedgwick’s pace-setting time in Practice 1.

Jordan Wallace was quickest in the Pro-Am ranks in his Kellymoss Porsche, having posted a 1:39.961 time, also in the second practice.

The Masters class was led by the No. 43 MDK Motorsports entry of Mark Kvamme, meanwhile.

Qualifying is set to get underway Saturday at 9:15 a.m. EDT, followed by Race 1 at 5:55 p.m. EDT, which will be streamed live on PorscheCarreraCup.us, Peacock and IMSA.tv.
