Five additional drivers including four under the McLaren Automotive banner, have been bumped to Gold rating by the FIA, in the latest change to the 2019 global driver ratings list.
Confirmed earlier this week, McLaren factory driver Paul Holton as well as McLaren juniors Charlie Fagg, Michael O’Brien and Lewis Proctor plus newly named Lamborghini factory driver Dennis Lind have all have their ratings moved from Silver to Gold.
Fagg and O’Brien were recently named to the British manufacturer’s new Junior Performance Academy while Proctor will remain as a McLaren Automotive Junior in 2019.
The adjustments come in the wake of the finalization of the 2019 driver ratings list earlier this month, which saw several changes from the provisional listing released in November.
Sanctioning bodies, including the ACO, SRO and IMSA, have the right to make series-specific adjustments at its discretion, with IMSA having already bumped Madison Show, Sheldon van der Linde and Rene Binder to Gold across any of its sanctioned championships next year.
