IDEC Sport Racing will run two different LMP2 chassis in the European Le Mans Series this season, switching one of its entries to an Oreca 07 Gibson. (En Français)
The team originally planned to enter a pair of Ligier JS P217 Gibsons in the top class of the pan-European championship, and was listed on the full-season entry list as such.
It has since decided to switch one of those entries to the Oreca chassis and will therefore run one of each for the six-round ELMS season.
This comes as the team has formed a partnership with Rebellion Racing, which is supporting Algarve Pro Racing’s Oreca as well.
Paul Lafargue and Paul-Loup Chatin will drive the IDEC Sport Oreca, while reigning champion Memo Rojas has been tipped as their co-driver.
Both confirmed drivers, plus a third co-driver who could be Rojas, are set to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans as well.
Meanwhile, the team’s Ligier will be driven by Patrice Lafargue and two currently unannounced co-drivers for the ELMS season.
