Calvert Dynamics will expand into a three-car Porsche operation for the upcoming two Pirelli World Challenge weekends, with Michael Lewis rejoining the series with a Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Lewis, who was left without a ride following EFFORT Racing’s withdrawal from PWC, will take part in the Road America and Mid-Ohio rounds in the same chassis that took him to a weekend sweep at St. Petersburg earlier this year.

“It’s simple – let’s go racing,” Lewis said. “A big thank you to my fan base, the racing colleagues who offered a helping hand during my time away from the Pirelli World Challenge, and to my additional core partners.”

Stefan Pfeiffer, Lewis’ engineer from EFFORT, as well as team manager Erin Gahagan and lead technician Dave Gahagan, will be part of the Calvert Dynamics program.

Lewis’ No. 98 Porsche, re-numbered for sponsor Curb Records, will line up alongside the team’s existing GT class entry from Andrew Davis and Preston Calvert’s GT Cup car.

“Racing is a big family and it’s really nice to be able to work with so many great people who are, well, family,” Lewis added.

“Thank you to Dr. Preston Calvert for this opportunity, and I look forward to teaming up with Andrew Davis to get our Porsches on top.”

Calvert added: “Our ability to add Michael Lewis to our team highlights the careful and precise planning that the Phoenix Performance organization provides to our racing efforts.

“Joe and Andrew Aquilante have worked quickly and effectively to mobilize the resources to accomplish this merging of team assets.

Calvert Dynamics is fortunate to have the support of such a capable leadership team.”
