Phil Quaife and Lorenzo Case have been confirmed as drivers for AF Corse’s entry for the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup, with the pairing set to compete in the Silver Cup.
The two Silver-rated drivers will pilot a Ferrari 488 GT3, the only AF Corse entry expected in the five-round sprint championship, which kicks off next weekend in Misano.
For 30-year-old Quaife, it will mark the Englishman’s Sprint Cup debut, having previous experience in the Endurance Cup in 2011-12.
“On Tuesday, both Lorenzo and I were behind the wheel of the 488 for the first time, it was extremely promising. The season starts in just over a week’s time and I can’t wait to get going,” Quaife said.
“I’d like to say a huge thanks to the team for giving me this fantastic opportunity and I will be doing my upmost to have a successful season with them.
“Lorenzo is a great driver, with a lot of experience at several levels, so I’m very much looking forward to teaming up with him.”
