IMSA has added a near-complete field of drivers to its updated entry list for this weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24 pre-season test at Daytona International Speedway.

As announced shortly before Christmas, a total of 40 cars will take part in the first track action of the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship on Jan 3-5.

Most of the driver lineups have been filled out, while others are yet to be finalized or are currently incomplete because of ongoing individual licensing procedures.

There are few surprises in the DPi class with the main news being the confirmation of a six-man Mazda Team Joest crew that includes 2012 IndyCar champion Ryan Hunter-Reay.

Tristan Vautier, meanwhile, is listed in both JDC-Miller Motorsports Cadillac DPi-V.Rs, including the No. 5 Mustang Sampling-sponsored entry.

In LMP2, PR1/Mathiasen Motorsport’s second Oreca 07 Gibson will be driven by former JDC-Miller DPi driver Simon Trummer, as well as FIA World Endurance Championship class points leader Gabriel Aubry.

The pair will share the wheel of PR1’s No. 52 car with Ben Keating, who is contesting the Rolex 24 in both LMP2 and GT Daytona machinery.

A few confirmations have been made in the 18-car GT Daytona field, including the addition of Swiss driver Rahel Frey to the GEAR Racing Lamborghini entry.

Bia Figueiredo was initially announced in the GRT Grasser-supported car for the Daytona season-opener.

Furthermore, 20-year-old Porsche one-make series racer Michael de Quesada has been drafted in to test AIM Vasser Sullivan’s No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 alongside Jack Hawksworth, Parker Chase and Kyle Busch.

Additional updates to the list are expected to be made later this week in the build up to the start of on-track activity on Friday.
