Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander have been confirmed for the full IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season with Risi Competizione, aboard the team’s new Ferrari 488 GTE.
Vilander, who’s spent several seasons with AF Corse in the FIA World Endurance Championship in the previous generation Ferrari F458 Italia, will return stateside and replace Pierre Kaffer in the team’s No. 62 car.
Fisichella and Vilander won in the GTE-Pro class with AF Corse and third driver Gianmaria Bruni in 2012 and 2014, with the Finn also claiming the GT World Championship in 2013 alongside Bruni.
Risi will miss this weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24 test, but will debut its new car at the Rolex 24 at Daytona itself.
