Holbrook Joins PPM for Super Trofeo Effort

Pirelli World Challenge driver Shea Holbrook has been confirmed for her full-season debut in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America competition with Precision Performance Motorsports.

Holbrook will team up with Martin Barkey at the wheel of the 67 Lamborghini Huracan Evo for the full six-round championship, which kicks off next month at Mid-Ohio.

It is expected to be one of several entries from the Rick Gdovic-owned team, which has acquired the assets of DAC Racing for the new-for-2018 program.

Holbrook made her Super Trofeo debut at Road America last year with Prestige Performance, alongside Pippa Mann, and also took part in the round at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

She is now set for her first full-season campaign in the single-make series.

“Perseverance and having the good fortune of being surrounded by amazing people and partners in the industry has allowed us this opportunity,” Holbrook said.

“It’s been a long-time coming for me and I couldn’t be more thrilled and grateful to be joining PPM and my co-driver Martin Barkey for the North American Lamborghini Super Trofeo season.”

Barkey added: “Partnering with Shea and PPM in the all-new Lamborghini Evo couldn’t be more exciting.

“I look forward to earning strong performances and results together to continue elevating our overall goals and partners.”

The North Carolina-based team makes the transition to Super Trofeo this year after previously running in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

“We are confident that her passion for racing will be brought to the forefront as she takes the next step in her racing career.”
