Michael Shank Racing has taken delivery of its Ligier JS P2 ahead of the 2015 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship program with the P2 car.
Team owner Michael Shank tweeted a photo of the Onroak Automotive-built car in the team’s Ohio workshop, confirming it will utilize the Honda-powered chassis that was campaigned in the final two rounds of this year’s TUDOR Championship by OAK Racing.
The team’s plans were to initially purchase an all-new car, scheduled for a mid-February delivery, although it’s understood the MSR Ligier will now make its debut at the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona instead.
Ozz Negri and John Pew will pilot the French prototype for the entire 10-round championship, as the pairing enter their ninth consecutive season together.
Shank is expected to officially announce its engine partner next week.
