OAK Racing Team Total led the way Friday at Inje Speedium as Asian Le Mans Series teams prepare for Sunday’s season-opening Three Hours of Inje.

Ho-Pin Tung took the No. 1 Morgan-Judd to a quick time of 1:25.341 in the second and final practice session of the day.

The Chinese driver’s lap was 0.074 seconds quicker than his best in the first session, which also topped the time sheets.

Eurasia Motorsport also improved in the afternoon, with the Richard Bradley-driven No. 27 Oreca 03 Nissan posting a 1:26.110 lap time, although still 0.769 seconds slower than Tung’s best time.

The No. 77 Craft-Bamboo Racing Ligier JS 53 Evo continued to pace the new-for-2014 CN class, with a best time of 1:30.173, which was slightly slower than the car’s quick lap from the morning.

While it was the No. 91 Team AAI BMW Z4 GT3 that was quickest in the morning, the Taiwanese team’s No. 90 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, driven by Yu Lam, Tsuchiya Takeshi and Takamitsu Matsu led the way in the afternoon.

It was again a 1-2-3 sweep for the AAI effort , despite the Python Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 making a more than one-second improvement in its best lap time from the morning.

ATL Wolf Asia’s Wolf GB08, meanwhile, continued to struggle, with the CN machine posting the 7th quickest time overall, behind the three GT class-leading entries.

The 80-minute session again saw no major incidents, with a final 30-minute practice on tap for tomorrow morning, followed by qualifying in the afternoon.

RESULTS: Practice 2
