Porsche has continued to lead the way, with Romain Dumas setting the quickest time in Friday’s second test session at Paul Ricard.

The Frenchman reeled off a best lap of 1:37.960 in the No. 2 Porsche 919 Hybrid, ending up some three-tenths quicker than co-driver Neel Jani, who paced the first session.

Dumas was 1.4 seconds clear of the No. 7 Audi R18, which ended the session second quickest after missing nearly three hours due to a mechanical issue discovered during the lunch break.

The No. 5 Toyota TS050 Hybrid was third, a further two-tenths adrift from the pace-setting Porsche.

Strakka Racing was quickest in LMP2, thanks to a 1:47.238 lap time set by Jonny Kane in the No. 42 Gibson 015S Nissan.

Davide Rigon (AF Corse) and Pierre Ragues (Larbre Competition) led GTE-Pro and GTE-Am, respectively.

The four-hour session saw no major reported incidents but some sprinkles of rain.

A two-hour night session is set to get underway at 7 p.m. local time.
