Two-time DTM champion Timo Scheider will make an appearance in this year’s edition of the Nürburgring 24, sharing a BMW M4 GT4 with fellow former DTM racers Timo Glock and Jeroen Bleekemolen.

Scheider, Glock and Bleekemolen will drive alongside Nordschleife veteran Peter Cate for German squad Cerny Motorsport, which fields the No. 45 BMW in the Eifel endurance classic.

It marks Scheider’s third consecutive appearance in the N24 after he drove a Scherer Sport PHX Audi last year, teaming up with Mike Rockenfeller and Martin Tomczyk last year.

Prior to that, he raced an IronForce Racing by Phoenix Porsche 992 GT3 Cup car together with newly crowned DTM race winner Luca Engstler.

The German is also a former overall winner of the event, having triumphed in a Phoenix-run Opel Astra V8 Coupe in 2003 alongside Marcel Tiemann and Manuel Reuter.

Bleekemolen, who won the N24 in 2013 aboard a Black Falcon Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, raced a similar Opel that year as part of a two-year stint in DTM. He later also made two appearances with Audi in 2006.

Glock, meanwhile, has largely remained out of the spotlights since he was dropped from the BMW factory driver roster in 2022, which was the end of a ten-year tenure with the Munich marque.

The ex-Grand Prix racer drove BMW machinery in DTM from 2014 to 2022 and was understood to have been in the picture for a series return with Doerr Motorsport’s McLaren effort this season, but that never materialized.
