Mikhail Aleshin, Davide Rigon and Miguel Molina will drive the SMP Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup this season. (En Français)
The car will run in addition to the SMP-backed Mercedes-AMG GT3 of AKKA ASP, with AF Corse again campaigning the Russian Ferrari.
It will be the sole Ferrari in the Pro Cup, taking up AF Corse’s one slot in the pre-selected entry list which was announced last month.
AF Corse ran three Ferraris in the class last year, including the SMP and Kaspersky-backed cars.
The SMP entry was driven by Molina, Rigon and Victor Shaytar in the five-round Endurance Cup in 2017 but Aleshin will join the crew to replace Shaytar this year.
The team finished fourth in the Endurance Cup standings last year despite not winning a race.
Both Aleshin and Rigon will combine the program with FIA World Endurance Championship commitments, with the former at SMP’s LMP1 program and Rigon in AF Corse’s GTE-Pro effort.
