Following the termination of Motorbase’s GT3 program, TF Sport has taken over the Oman Racing Team entry in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup.
After winning the inaugural Michelin Le Mans Cup and British GT titles in 2016, TF Sport will step up to Blancpain GT this year, fielding an Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 under the Oman Racing Team banner for Ahmad Al Harthy and Jonny Adam.
The duo will again pair up in a Pro-Am title bid, after coming in fourth in the class last year.
“This is a hugely exciting program for TF Sport,” stated TF Sport Director Tom Ferrier.
“The Blancpain GT Series is the toughest GT3 platform in Europe and we relish the chance of competing for honors in the Pro-Am class.”
Al Harthy added: “Our new partnership with TF Sport is the start of a fresh chapter and we’re determined to mount a very strong challenge in Blancpain this year.”
2017 will prove to be a very busy year for AMR factory ace Jonny Adam, as the 32-year-old Brit will combine the Blancpain GT program with his commitments in FIA World Endurance Championship and a title defense in the British GT Championship.
As was the case last year, it is expected the Oman entry will be the only Aston Martin in the Blancpain GT field.
