Scott Hargrove set the pace in dominating fashion the third Pirelli World Challenge practice session of the weekend at Road America.
The Canadian’s best lap of 2:06.199 in the No. 96 Pfaff Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R was a full 0.823 seconds faster than K-PAX Racing’s Alvaro Parente who checked in with the second-fastest time in his No. 9 Bentley Continental GT3.
Daniel Morad, Toni Vilander, and Rodrigo Baptista completed the top five for CRP Racing, R. Ferri Motorsport, and K-PAX Racing, respectively.
Martin Fuentes took GTA honors with a late flying lap in the No. 07 Ferrari 488 GT3 for Squadra Corse Garage Italia, displacing newcomer Anthony Imperato’s Wright Motorsports Porsche.
Courtney Quickest in GTS
Jeff Courtney showed the way in both GTS and GTSA after jumping to the top of the charts on his final lap in the No. 99 Maserati Grand Turismo MC GT4.
Ian James was the fastest of the GTS class class contenders and behind only Courtney of the GTS and GTSA runners for Team Panoz Racing.
A lengthy red flag came out in the first 15 minutes of the session when Daniel Mancinelli made contact with the tire barrier in The Carousel.
The Italian was the fastest at the time of the crash in the No. 31 TR3 Racing Ferrari 488 GT3.
A final 30 minute practice session is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. CT with qualifying to follow, beginning with the GT and GTA competitors at 9:20 a.m. CT. GTS and GTSA qualifying is scheduled for 9:40 a.m. CT.
