The addition of a Boutsen Ginion Lamborghini Gallardo R-EX has increased the field for next weekend’s Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup opener at Zolder to 21 cars.

ENTRY LIST: Zolder

Belgian team Boutsen Ginion will make its return to the series for the first time since running a BMW M6 GT3 in the 2016 Endurance Cup with a Lamborghini Gallardo R-EX in the Am Cup.

The car will be driven by Claude-Yves Gosselin and Pierre Feligioni and is the only Am Cup entry in the 21-car field which also includes three Pro-Am and four Silver Cup entries.

Series regulars Belgian Audi Club Team WRT, Grasser Racing Team and AKKA ASP make up half of the field with their largely Pro Cup cars.

Sainteloc Racing, Attempto Racing, Kessel Racing and Emil Frey Lexus Racing all have two cars each while 3Y Technology and Team Parker Racing complete the grid.

Andrew Watson will co-drive the 3Y-entered BMW alongside Lukas Moraes.

Reigning Sprint Cup champions Robin Frijns and Stuart Leonard return to the series in their No. 17 WRT Audi R8 LMS GT3 as do 2017 Endurance Cup winners Mirko Bortolotti, Christian Engelhart and Andrea Caldarelli, who are spread across Grasser’s three Lamborghini Huracan GT3s.

On-track action at Zolder, which replaces Misano as the season-opener, gets underway on Friday, April 6, ahead of a pair of 60-minute races on Saturday and Sunday.

The series has a new format this year with both races giving equal points and a new qualifying system.
