IMSA has made an additional driver rating adjustment and clarifications following the release of the FIA’s final 2019 list on Friday.

The sanctioning body has reclassified Rene Binder as Gold for IMSA-run championships in 2019.

The Austrian, who is Silver-rated by the FIA, joins Madison Snow and Sheldon van der Linde in the list of IMSA-specific driver reclassifications.

Binder was announced as the Michelin Endurance Cup driver for Juncos Racing in the DPi class.

Additionally, IMSA has declared a “New to IMSA” Silver driver rating list, which currently lists ten drivers who are expected to compete next year, all as Silvers.

None of the drivers on the current list published derogates from the FIA list.
