BMW has released further details on its EVO update for the BMW M4 GT4, which will be available for customers ahead of the 2025 seasons.

The Bavarian brand first showed the car to customers and media at the Nürburgring 24 along with the reveal of the M4 GT3 EVO and has now released additional information about its updated GT4 challenger.

Reliability and drivability have been the two key areas of focus with the car featuring a revised front splitter, reinforced wheel bearings on the rear axle and new front flicks.

Additionally, the attachment concept of the front end has been overhauled, making it more maintenance-friendly.

A new notable feature with regards to drivability is the option for drivers to temporarily deactivate the traction control via a button on the steering wheel.

Visually, the car has been given similar styling tweaks to the GT3 EVO, including new front and rear lights. Development was led by factory drivers Jens Klingmann, Max Hesse and Dan Harper.

The M4 GT4 EVO will be priced at €219,000 ($234,273 USD), with an individual upgrade package for existing cars available at €16,000 ($17,115 USD).

Rollout of both complete packages and individual EVO kits will start in the fourth quarter of this year, ahead of a racing debut in 2025.

“The BMW M4 GT4 wrote an extraordinary success story in its first season,” said Bjoern Lellmann, head of BMW customer racing.

“In developing the BMW M4 GT4 EVO, we focused on what makes BMW M Motorsport stand out.

“We took the feedback from the field seriously and focused on the issues that were important to our customers – to make the ‘perfect’ customer racing car even better.”
