Former Indy NXT driver Jonathan Browne has signed with Czabok-Simpson Motorsport, joining the team’s No. 3 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport lineup alongside the previously announced Madeline Stewart beginning with the second IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge round of the season at Sebring International Raceway.

The 25-year-old Irishman, who has progressed through the U.S. open-wheel ranks, will make his IMSA debut.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Jonathan to the CSM program,” said co-owner Stephen Simpson. “Jonathan is fast driver with a great deal of potential that we look forward to unlocking.

“While sports car racing is new to Jonathan, I am confident he will adapt quickly. Jonathan was with us for the Daytona race weekend getting involved with the team in preparation for Sebring.”

Browne added: “I’m extremely excited to join CSM and begin this next phase of my career within IMSA competition.

“The Michelin Pilot Challenge is an incredibly strong championship and this multi-year partnership gives me the platform and opportunity to apply my open-wheel experience to endurance-style GT racing.

“I’ve spent my career in highly competitive open-wheel environments, and I’m motivated to bring that experience, discipline, to this class.

“CSM has a clear vision for progression within IMSA, particularly the goal of progressing into the WeatherTech Championship aligns with my long-term career ambitions.”

Browne joins Stewart, who made her team debut as a third driver in CSM’s No. 2 Porsche entry alongside full-time co-drivers Morgan Burkhard and Gordon Scully in last week’s season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, finishing ninth overall and in the GS class.

The Indianapolis-based team, which also competes in VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, meanwhile, took delivery of its first Porsche 911 Cup car on Wednesday ahead of its expansion into Porsche Carrera Cup North America this year.
