Nate Cicero topped the second practice session ahead of the four-hour IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season opener at Daytona in a Mustang 1-2.
Cicero steered the No. 13 McCumbee McAleer Racing Ford Mustang GT4 to a best lap of 1:53.164, with that effort 0.413 seconds quicker than the No. 46 Team TGM-entered example driven by Paul Holton.
Matheus Leist was third in the No. 7 VPX Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, with Varun Choksey fourth at the wheel of the No. 12 RAFA Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2.
Mikey Taylor rounded out the top five at the wheel of the No. 17 JDC-Miller Motorsports Porsche, followed by Gregory Liefooghe aboard of the No. 19 Stephen Cameron Racing Mustang.
Evan Slater slotted into seventh in the No. 60 KohR Motorsport Mustang that features a livery paying tribute to the late Greg Biffle, ahead of Kris Wilson’s No. 64 Team TGM Mustang.
CUPRA runners dominated the top of the TCR category for the second session in a row, with the Spanish manufacturer locking out the top three positions in class.
Franco Girolami went quickest at the wheel go the No. 99 Victor Gonzalez Racing CUPRA Leon VZ TCR with a best lap of 1:57.050.
That left the Argentinean racer 0.225 seconds clear of the No. 21 Victor Gonzalez, with Celso Neto third aboard the No. 77 Stallion Motorsport with Gou entry.
Mason Filippi was fourth in the No. 33 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Elantra N TCR, followed by Mario Farnbacher’s No. 72 Pegram Racing Honda Civic FL5 TCR.
