Alianza Motorsports and Gilbert Motorsports have joined forces for a planned multi-car Norma M30 Nissan effort in IMSA Prototype Challenge next year.

The newly formed entity, which will run under the Alianza – Gilbert Motorsports banner, will debut in January’s season-opening four-hour enduro at Daytona with Anthony Simone and Jason Bell at the wheel of a single Norma entry.

Initially, the team announced Rodrigo Pflucker, Simone’s season-long co-driver this year when racing with Forty7 Motorsports, although have since confirmed Bell in the seat for the first round.

Alianza had worked with Forty7 last season, with Simone and Pflucker claiming a podium finish at Barber Motorsports Park.

“Everyone on the Alianza Motorsports side of the program is very excited to join Henry Gilbert in the newly formed Alianza – Gilbert Motorsports effort,” said Lorne Kelly.

“We have worked very hard to get to where we are today and this partnership fit together so well as we all have one common goal that we will work to achieve.”

The 2019 effort will see on-and-off track support from Florida-based Speed Syndicate Motorsports.

The team is looking to add a second Norma to its lineup beginning with the second round of the season at Sebring in March.
