A total of 53 entries are set for next weekend’s Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which will mark the penultimate round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season as well as the Michelin Endurance Cup.
The entry list, released on Wednesday by IMSA, features 12 GTP cars, 11 LMP2s, 11 GTD Pro entries and 18 GTD cars set for the final scheduled six-hour race at The Brickyard before reverting to a regular two-hour and 40-minute contest in 2026.
As revealed by Sportscar365 Proton Competition will not be present with its Porsche 963 due to chassis damage from Watkins Glen, while the other customer Porsche, the No. 85 JDC-Miller Motorsports entry, will be driven by Nico Mueller in place of Tijmen van der Helm, with Gianmaria Bruni absent.
Both the No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac V-Series, with Frederik Vesti, and the No. 93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06, featuring Kaku Ohta, are the only three-driver lineups in the class.
The No. 63 Riley-run Lamborghini SC63, meanwhile, will have Romain Grosjean and Edoardo Mortara at the wheel.
LMP2 sees Oliver Jarvis make a return to Era Motorsport after previously being part of its 2023 Rolex 24 at Daytona lineup. The Englishman replaces Paul Loup Chatin.
The biggest driver change in the class, however, comes at PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports, with ex-Formula 1 driver Logan Sargeant set for his series debut in the team’s No. 52 Oreca 07 Gibson for the final two races of the season.
Tom Dillmann, meanwhile, returns to WeatherTech Championship action after missing the Road America round in the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition entry due to a back injury sustained at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
The GTD Pro class grows by one with the addition of the 75 Express-run Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for Kenny Habul, Mikael Grenier and Australian Supercars star Broc Feeney, who is also set for his WeatherTech Championship debut.
It will mark the SunEnergy1-sponsored Mercedes-AMG’s first series start since the season-opening Rolex 24 in January.
The No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVO is the only other three-driver lineup in class, with Connor De Phillippi returning to the wheel, while Ferrari factory driver Davide Rigon back with DragonSpeed, also as expected.
In GTD, the Iron Dames entry, also run by Proton, is again absent as well, after initially missing Watkins Glen due to Michelle Gatting’s foot injury sustained at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, although the Dane has since returned to action elsewhere.
James Calado is set to join Kenton Koch and Onofrio Triarsi in the No. 023 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3, with drivers for its No. 021 entry to-be-determined.
Ben Tuck, meanwhile, will join Conquest Racing as previously announced, with Nicola Lacorte back in the No. 47 Cetilar Racing Ferrari in place of Giorgio Sernagiotto, while Mason Filippi is set for his GTD debut in the No. 66 Gradient Racing Ford Mustang GT3.
Third drivers in both the No. 19 Van der Steur Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo and No. 78 Forte Racing Lamborghini Hurcan GT3 EVO2 have yet to be confirmed.
Unlike GTP and GTD Pro, three-driver lineups are mandatory for the six-hour races in LMP2 and GTD.
Of note, Magnus Racing, which made a surprise earlier-than-expected return to racing at Watkins Glen, is not listed to take part at Indianapolis.
