AO Racing will run a special Gold-plated color on its ‘Spike the Dragon’-liveried Oreca 07 Gibson in this month’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The defending LMP2 championship-winning squad will honor its titles in both the WeatherTech Championship and European Le Mans Series LMP2 Pro-Am ranks, as well as class honors in last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the distinctive color scheme for the Florida endurance classic.

Dane Cameron and PJ Hyett, who teamed to win both championships, will return to the wheel of the No. 99 entry, joined by Jonny Edgar and Christian Rasmussen for the season-opener.

The Gunnar Jeannette-led operation, which won Sportscar365’s ‘Team of the Year’ in 2025, will be seeking its first Rolex 24 class win across the two-car squad, which includes its returning No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo in GTD Pro with the all-new full season lineup of Nick Tandy and Harry King.
