IMSA has released a capacity 54-car entry for next weekend’s Motul Petit Le Mans, which will close out the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Michelin Endurance Cup seasons.
Released on Wednesday, the entry features 11 GTP cars, ten LMP2s, 13 GTD Pros entries and 20 GTDs class machines.
Unlike last month’s six-hour Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, all GTP teams will have three-driver lineups.
Scott Dixon will rejoin the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac V-Series.R, in its final WeatherTech Championship race with the luxury automaker, while Brendon Hartley and Colton Herta have been called up to complete Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti’s lineups in its Nos. 10 and 40 Acura ARX-06s, respectively.
Augusto Farfus and Maxime Martin, meanwhile, will reinforce BMW M Team RLL’s two entries, with Porsche Penske Motorsport utilizing the previously confirmed Kevin Estre and Matt Campbell in the Nos. 6 and 7 Porsche 963s, respectively.
Action Express Racing, Lamborghini Iron Lynx, Proton Competition and JDC-Miller Motorsports will all feature the same lineups it had at The Brickyard.
The ten-strong LMP2 field will see Silver-rated Sebastian Alvarez in the No. 8 Tower Motorsport Oreca instead of Michael Dinan, with Lilou Wadoux returning to the No. 88 AF Corse entry after missing Indy.
GTD Pro sees the return of Dani Juncadella and Earl Bamber for to the Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs for the first time since the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
Likewise, Christopher Mies and Fred Vervisch are back in Multimatic Motorsports’ two Ford Mustang GT3s since the same event.
Iron Lynx’s No. 19 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 features a more traditional lineup of Franck Perera, Jordan Pepper and Mirko Bortolotti after a one-off for Luca Engstler and Maximilian Paul at Indy
Roman De Angelis will move from the No. 027 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo to the team’s season-long No. 23 GTD Pro entry, alongside Alex Riberas and title contender Ross Gunn.
The team’s No. 027 car, meanwhile, will feature Mario Farnbacher, Zach Robichon and Marco Sorensen.
As previously reported, DragonSpeed will move to GTD Pro with Toni Vilander, Vince Abril and Thomas Neubauer.
Among the changes in GTD include the return of Ryan Hardwick to the No. 55 Proton Competition Mustang GT3 after missing the latest Endurance Cup round at Indianapolis.
