Cetilar Racing has confirmed plans to enter the Michelin Endurance Cup rounds of the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

For a second successive season, Cetilar will enter a Ferrari 296 GT3 in the GTD class with the support of AF Corse for the five-round series, beginning with next month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The Italian squad will use the same full-time drivers as this year, with long-time Cetilar pair Roberto Lacorte and Giorgio Sernagiotto joined by factory Ferrari driver Antonio Fuoco.

Eddie Cheever III completes an all-Italian line-up for the Rolex 24, returning to IMSA competition for the first time since the 2022 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

“The 2023 season was not easy,” said Lacorte. “We were aware of it from the beginning, but it served to develop the car to take a step forward compared to our competitors.

“Cetilar Racing was the first to hit the track with the Ferrari 296 GT3, making history with this car, and now we aim to do even better.”

Lacorte, Sernagiotto and Fuoco endured a difficult 2023 season with the all-new 296 GT3, achieving a best finish of 13th in class in the season-closing Motul Petit Le Mans.

The trio claimed victory at Sebring the year prior with the previous-generation 488 GT3 Evo.
