Change Racing has added Kaz Grala as its fourth driver in the No. 16 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 for this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The Rolex 24 rookie joins fellow rookie Corey Lewis and two past class winners, Spencer Pumpelly and Justin Marks, in one of the three full-season Lamborghinis in GT Daytona.
At 17, he’s the youngest driver entered in the field.
Grala has one past Daytona road course start, finishing fourth in GS in a Rum Bum Racing-entered BMW M3 in the 2014 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race there co-driving with Hugh Plumb.
“We made the decision to invite Kaz (Grala) to test at Daytona very late, but he showed up and performed as though he had been preparing for the test for weeks,” said team principal Robby Benton.
Grala, who’s primarily raced NASCAR K&N Pro Series and late models the last few years, follows in the footsteps of father Darius Grala racing at the Rolex 24. Darius Grala has three past starts.
“The 24 has always been a dream of mine and it would be awesome to get a good start to the year with a strong result next weekend,” Kaz Grala said.
