The Chevrolet Corvette C7.R and Acura NSX GT3 Evo have been hit with Balance of Performance adjustments ahead of this weekend’s Mobil 1 Sportscar Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Confirmed in a technical bulletin issued by IMSA on Wednesday, the Corvette has been given a 10 kg increase in minimum weight, with the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen GT Daytona class-winning Acura gaining 20 kg for the Canadian round.

It marks the first BoP adjustment for the Evo-spec Acura within IMSA’s new-for-2019 two-race rolling average, and brings the car’s minimum weight up to 1330 kg.

The only other car adjusted for CTMP is the Lexus RC F GT3, which has been handed a 4-liter increase in fuel capacity.

The adjustments come within IMSA’s seven-day window of the event, which series technical chief Geoff Carter said is possible due to the Watkins Glen and CTMP events running on consecutive weekends.

Carter indicated to Sportscar365 last weekend that BoP changes for the event were possible.
